We are looking for a DBA with experience in cloud environments, to join our Cloud Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimising and maintaining databases in both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, performance, security and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Management and Operations
Daily administration of Oracle databases, both in OCI and hybrid environments.
Management of cloud database services such as:
Oracle Autonomous Database
Oracle Database Cloud Service
Oracle Exadata Cloud Service
Continuous monitoring of database health, performance, and capacity.
Performance tuning of queries, instances, and storage.
Automation and DevOps
Development of scripts and automations (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
Integration of databases into CI/CD pipelines.
Implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments.
High Availability and Business Continuity
Configuration and support of Data Guard, RAC, backups, and recovery policies.
Design and implementation of Disaster Recovery plans in distributed environments.
Security and Compliance
Management of identities, privileges, and encryption.
Compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Implementation of audits, patching policies, and hardening.
Collaboration and Support
Work with development and data engineering teams to optimize schemas, queries, and partitioning strategies.
Provide support for complex incident resolution.
Participate in on-call rotations when required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
3-5 years of experience as a DBA (Oracle preferred).
Strong knowledge of:
Oracle RDBMS architecture
SQL and PL/SQL
Database modeling and design
Experience administering databases on OCI or other clouds (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
Experience with monitoring tools: OEM, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python).
