What are we looking for:

The Finance & Compliance Team

Joining this team means having a direct impact on one of the most critical areas of Fever's business: ensuring that every cent of value we generate -across multiple currencies and countries- is calculated, invoiced, and reported with the highest precision, while scaling across millions of transactions.

What we do:

• Calculate the company's revenue by applying technology to a complex system of commercial conditions.
• Invoice and settle with our partners in more than 50 countries (and growing every day).
• Invoice our customers, both end-users and businesses.
• Automate tax reporting and compliance with relevant authorities.
• Build processes for product categorization to ensure correct tax application for each type of product.

Engineers here don't just write code-they shape the product. Together with the Product Manager, you help define and prioritize what to build, directly influencing both the roadmap and the business impact.

Our mission

Provide the most accurate and transparent revenue data to our investors and partners, with full traceability showing exactly which taxes are collected, paid, and what revenue and profit we generate per order line.

Beyond internal operations

Finance & Compliance acts like a SaaS partner within the Fever ecosystem, delivering financial, tax, and compliance services to internal teams, partners, and clients. By automating processes end-to-end, we enable efficiency, trust, and seamless collaboration at a global scale.

This is a problem of scale. We process massive volumes of sales per second, with multiple purchase and revenue flows that require high-quality engineering solutions. If you enjoy Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and leveraging asyncio for concurrency, this is the perfect playground.

What would you do at Fever?

During your first month at Fever (Onboarding period):

You'll join a structured onboarding program designed to help you ramp up smoothly. During this period, you will:

• Meet your buddy and team, and get to know Fever's culture and ways of working.
• Set up your local environment and become familiar with our Python-based stack, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Learn about our architecture and observability tools while contributing small improvements and fixes.
• Have your first code running in production and a clear understanding of our delivery flow and processes.
• By the end of the onboarding, you'll be ready to join your long-term squad and start contributing to larger initiatives.

After 3 months at Fever:

You'll be confidently collaborating and delivering at full speed. You will:

• Design and implement end-to-end features within your squad.
• Participate in architectural discussions and propose improvements across our services and APIs.
• Work with event-driven systems and focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to enhance our platform and developer experience.

On your 6th month in Fever:

You'll be fully established as a key contributor in your team. You will:

• Take ownership of core components and help evolve their architecture.
• Lead by example through code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring.
• Contribute to best practices in areas like scalability, observability, and system design.
• Drive continuous improvement and have a visible impact on how we build high-performing services at scale.
• Become an expert of your domain, using business context and technical excellence to drive strategic initiatives forward

About you

Must have skills:

• Strong knowledge on good practices, testing and design patterns
• You are proficient in business English
• You know how to deliver code from development to production
• Experience with RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption)
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

We use these technologies, so it would be a plus if you have experience in:

• Django/Flask & FastAPI
• PostgreSQL
• Redis
• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working on agile methodology 
• Event communication between services
• Handling services with more than 1000 request/second.
• AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
