We're looking for a highly skilled Snowflake Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a certified expert in Snowflake, passionate about designing, building, and optimizing data solutions to drive business intelligence and analytics.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Design and Architect: Create and implement scalable and efficient data warehousing solutions on the Snowflake platform.
• Data Modeling: Help the use cases to develop robust data models, including dimensional and normalized structures, to support business requirements.
• ETL/ELT Development: Help on the Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake features and third-party tools (e.g., dbt, Snaplogic, Attacamma).
• Performance Tuning: Optimize Snowflake queries, tables, and overall performance to ensure efficient data processing.
• Security and Governance: Establish and enforce best practices for data security, access control, and governance within the Snowflake environment.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior data engineers and analysts on Snowflake best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts, to understand and meet their data needs.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all data architectures, models, and processes.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and a minimum of 3+ years specifically with Snowflake.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake administration: security, permissions management, analyzing logs and developing recommendations and best practices.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in SQL, Airflow, Jenkins, Openshift, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and a strong understanding of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient in python and SQL.
• Certifications: Snowflake Certified Advanced Administrator and/or Snowflake Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred. Other relevant certifications like SnowPro Core are a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Must be a proactive team player.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
