As the Global Buyer - Lab Supplies and Services, you will be responsible for a strategic and complex category that is critical to Sanofi's R&D operations. You will join a high-performing global procurement team structured around category management excellence and business partnership.

You will act as a value-generating control point for Lab Supplies and Services, partnering closely with internal stakeholders across R&D, MSAT, CMC, and Quality to support scientific continuity, innovation, and cost efficiency. You will contribute to shaping and executing the global category strategy, consolidate business needs, build sourcing strategies, run global RFPs, negotiate contracts and rate cards, and manage relationships with key strategic suppliers.

This is a global role supporting all entities of the Sanofi Group, with a strong operational and digital transformation dimension through the deployment of procurement marketplaces and best-in-class buying practices.

Main responsibilities:

Operations & Category Management

  • Implement and continuously evolve the Global Lab Supplies Category Strategy to secure Sanofi R&D's critical business needs while acting as a front-line owner of supplier performance management, ensuring service levels, delivery reliability, and issue resolution.

  • Deliver measurable procurement value through meaning ownership of global RFPs, contract negotiations and renewals and alternative sourcing and demand management initiatives.

  • Lead and accelerate the adoption of the Sanofi Lab Supplies Marketplace, driving digitalization, compliance, and improved buying experience for scientists.

  • Support and promote demand management programs ("buy smarter, buy less") in close collaboration with R&D stakeholders.

  • Monitor industry trends, supplier innovation, and market developments; benchmark against best practices across industries.

  • Apply procurement excellence across key dimensions including meaning total Cost of Ownership (TCO), supplier Relationship Management (SRM), market Intelligence and Risk Management, innovation scouting and CSR, HSE, Quality, and Compliance requirements.

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based partnerships with key R&D, MSAT, and CMC stakeholders.

  • Ensure an excellent and frictionless buying experience for Sanofi scientists.

  • Proactively gather, assess, and translate business needs into procurement strategies and supplier briefs.

  • Act as a key interface between internal teams and strategic suppliers, facilitating alignment and execution.

About You

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Laboratory Management, or a related field.

  • Solid technical understanding of Lab Supplies, Reagents, or related scientific categories.

  • Good working knowledge of finance (cost analysis, savings tracking) and legal/contractual processes.

  • Established experience in negotiating global agreements and managing complex supplier relationships.

Soft Skills:

  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • High attention to detail, particularly in contract and data analysis.

  • Flexible, resourceful, and creative in addressing complex sourcing challenges.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage transversal initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to influence at multiple levels.

  • Fast learner, able to adapt quickly to new environments, tools, and processes.

  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and social intelligence.

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Master's degree preferred).

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

  • Proficiency in a second European language such as French or German is a strong plus.

The salary range for this position is :€59.600,00 - €89.400,00

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
