As our business grows, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior GL Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, modern environment.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy-Taxation, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of professional experience in accounting; internship experience is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Experience with office tools (e.g., Google Workspace and MS Office), including knowledge of pivot tables. Experience with Business Central is a plus.
• Languages: Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is highly preferred for the Belgian market.
• Soft Skills: A proactive team player with a collaborative spirit and a strong desire to learn.
• Mindset: Excellent organizational skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving. You possess a strong sense of responsibility with respect for deadlines and the ability to deliver on time.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Junior GL Accountant, you will support the finance team in daily operations and work toward managing accounting cycles independently:

• General Ledger Support: Assist in the maintenance and control of the general ledger under the guidance of senior colleagues.
• Month-End Closing: Assist in preparing month-end closing tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Financial Records: Help calculate and record basic depreciation and accruals.
• Regulatory Reporting: Support the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies and internal management.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on Belgian accounting laws (BE-GAAP) and tax regulations.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with various operational tasks within the accounting and finance department as needed.
