POSITION SUMMARY / MISSION

The Global Total Rewards Associate Director designs and leads the global strategy for compensation, benefits, and total rewards. Reporting to the Executive Director of Talent & Culture Strategy, the role ensures alignment with business and People & Culture goals, while positioning the company as a top employer in the pharmaceutical industry. By driving innovation and competitiveness in rewards, this role helps attract and retain top talent and supports the delivery of our ambitious goals through a culture of equity, performance, and well-being.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and lead the global total rewards strategy, including compensation philosophy, benefits design, and recognition programs.

• Partner with executive leadership and P&C teams in the affiliates to ensure alignment with business objectives and local market practices.

• Lead global benchmarking and market intelligence efforts to ensure competitive positioning.

• Design and govern global frameworks for base pay, variable pay, equity programs, and executive compensation.

• Oversee global benefits strategy, including health & wellness, retirement, and other employee-centric programs.

• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

• Provide strategic guidance in case of M&A due diligence and integration from a rewards perspective.

• Serve as a thought leader and advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to rewards and benefits.

• Monitor emerging market practices and competitive trends, connecting them with Almirall's ambition and integrating opportunities enabled by digitalization and AI

• Represent Almirall externally as a thought leader in Total Rewards, participating in relevant forums and networks.

EXPERIENCE

• 12+ years of experience in global compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing global rewards strategies.

• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.

• Experience working in a multinational environment with diverse cultural and regulatory landscapes.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field. Master's or relevant certifications preferred.

• Prior experience within a Market Company setting is highly desirable.

• Clear and compelling communicator, able to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and ability to ensure global compliance.

• Proven ability to lead through influence and drive strategic initiatives across a matrixed organization.
