What your day to day life will look like...

We develop solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote AI adoption in the CaixaBank Group. Thus, we define the AI strategy within the Group, we offer scalable and robust AI applications, we centralise and spread knowledge and good practice in work experience programmes, and we explore new technologies and trends to ensure we are at the forefront of AI innovation.

The Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence is a multidisciplinary team that conceptualises and develops projects with a user-centred vision that include cognitive applications (next generation of virtual assistants), solutions based on voice technologies and text analysis, advisors, natural language classifiers or document management.

Your responsibilities in this position will be:

• Be involved in developing our Artificial Intelligence solutions, from creating a prototype of new functionalities and technologies until its integration with existing systems, developing your experience and abilities in this area.
• Be a performance benchmark in the areas of expertise in AI.
• Analyse new use cases to identify possible AI applications.
• Promote AI initiatives within the company.
• Detect synergies and dependences among the different business areas and define reusable services for the whole organisation.
• Ensure that products developed are aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Finding solutions that cover the business needs with sustainable technological approaches (use of resources, ease of maintenance, etc.).
• Collaborate in the implementation of the new business solutions.
• Ensure the quality of the solutions developed in different locations.
• Guarantee the use of methodological and technological tools that help to improve the work required, proposing ideas for improving project execution.
• Anticipate risks, identifying the problems and circumstances that can cause project margin erosion and recommending realistic solutions within the scope of the team.

Key skills and requirements:

• University degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working on any of the following AI technologies: cognitive assistants, natural language processing, image processing, voice processing.
• Experience in implementing AI solutions with proprietary applications or architectures.
• Capacity for analysis, identifying risks, their implications, relationships, coherence.
• Good knowledge of artificial intelligence market solutions knowledge will be valued: GoogleCloud, AWS, Azure, IBM.
• Experience in programming will be considered: Python, SQL, Java.
• Knowledge of LLM will be valued.
• Knowledge of machine learning and mathematical and statistical models, such as Transformers, RNNs, time series analysis, Gradient Boosting, Multi-armed Bandits, etc., will be valued.
• Knowledge of model development methodologies (MLOps, DataOps, etc.), will be valued.
• Knowledge of Cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS) will be valued.
• Ability to adapt to new goals, tools and tasks.
• Ability to understand requirements in complex systems and orientation to productive environments.
• Ability to understand and assimilate the specific business needs at the portfolio level.
• Experience in agile methodologies and in product and technical backlog management.
• Communication and influence: communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Good public speaking skills, and ability to convince and launch brand extension strategies.
• Teamwork.
• Highly motivated to deal with challenges and design innovative and transformative applications.
• Ability to work without supervision, managing time and unexpected tasks.
• Analytical vision.
• High level of English required (written and conversational).
