About The Role 💻 

We are looking for a Data Science Intern who will help us develop and improve the data-driven models and analytics that power our sustainability intelligence platform.

The role provides an opportunity to work with large datasets, machine learning techniques, and advanced analytics to help transform complex ESG and sustainability data into actionable insights for investors and organizations.

What You'll Be Doing 🚀

Working as a Data Science Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the development and improvement of machine learning models used in sustainability analytics
• Cleaning, processing, and transforming large structured and unstructured datasets
• Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in ESG and sustainability data
• Assisting in building data pipelines and analytical workflows to improve data quality and efficiency
• Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to test and evaluate model performance
• Creating visualizations and summaries to communicate analytical findings clearly
• Contributing to documentation and internal tools that improve data accessibility and reproducibility

Location 🌍 

The role is based in our tech hub in Madrid, Spain, but we are remote-friendly and open to the CET timezone +/- 2 hours.

What You'll Need 👀

• Role Specifics: Strong analytical mindset with interest in data science and sustainability analytics
• Years of Experience: Previous internship experience, academic projects, or coursework related to data science, machine learning, or analytics
• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Self-starter, able to take ownership and initiative, with high energy and stamina
• Decisive and action-oriented, able to make rapid decisions even when they are short of information
• Highly motivated, independent and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level-proficient user)

Nice To Have ✨

• Experience working with Python for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with SQL and data querying
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with data visualization tools or libraries (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Plotly)
• Interest in ESG, sustainability analytics, or financial data
• Experience in a start-up
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or higher, in a financial discipline such as Banking, Finance, Investment Management, or Sustainable Finance.
