Job Responsibilities:

Operations & Compliance

  • Lead and manage customs entry processes; ensure proper preparation, verification, and submission of customs documentation (import/export).
  • Ensure all cargo clearance complies with local customs laws, import/export regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal SOPs to maintain compliance and avoid penalties or delays.
  • Coordinate closely with customs brokers, cargo handlers, shipping lines, ports, and other regulatory agencies.

Trucking

  • Supervise dispatch and scheduling of trucks for cargo movement between ports, warehouses, CFS terminals, and clients' facilities.
  • Liaise with trucking providers, driver teams, and internal operations to ensure on-time delivery and high service standards.
  • Ensure all inland transport documentation (delivery orders, PODs, waybills) is accurate and properly filed.
  • Troubleshoot delays, incidents, demurrage risks, and operational challenges.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor operations staff involved in customs processing and trucking coordination.
  • Assign tasks, establish clear performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, team performance, and operational quality.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare operational reports for management, including customs clearance status, trucking activity, KPIs, and cost analysis.
  • Maintain transparent communication with internal teams, clients, carriers, customs brokers, and government contacts.
  • Represent the company in customs audits, stakeholder meetings, and compliance reviews.

What You Bring:

Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration and Licensed Customs Broker is required
  • 5+ years of operations experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, logistics or transportation.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing teams

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff codes, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of trucking coordination and inland freight operations.
  • Proficient with logistics software (TMS, clearance platforms) and MS Office.
  • Problem solver with good negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
