SCIB is looking for a Trade Finance for Investment Banking Associate based out of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) Head Quarters.

Santander´s Global Transaction Banking division is looking for a young professional with 2 to 5 years of experience to add value to our Trade Finance for Investment Banking franchise. Part of the Global team based in Madrid, you will join a fast pace, rapidly growing business in close collaboration with our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) colleagues in Leverage Finance, Project Finance, M&A, DCM and ECM. Our goal is to complement Santander´s offering to support our clients with Trade Finance products in M&A, Project Financing and Private Equity portfolio companies' growth plans.

We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

• Support senior members of the team in marketing, structuring and executing trade finance transactions for our clients in the context of wider Investment Bank opportunities.

• Gradually the ideal candidate will develop the ability to lead the execution of transactions.

• Monitoring pipeline of transactions, income generation and capital consumption across the division.

• Providing up-to-date market trends and relevant events as well as pricing intelligence.

Professional Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in international financial services industry

• Trade Finance, Project Finance, Leverage Finance

Education

• University Degree in Finance, Business and Economics

• Master´s Degree in Finance, MBA or CFA (Preferred)

Languages

• English (Proficient level Required)

• Spanish (Proficient level Preferred)

Hard Skills

• Financial Analysis

• Strong Excel, Power Point and Generative AI skills

• Financial Modelling (Preferred)

Soft Skills

• Presentation and communication skills

• Commercial skills
