Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing queries and dashboards in Athena, BigQuery and Tableau Server to understand current data structures and reporting logic.
• Rewrite and optimize SQL queries and ETL processes to transition from Athena and BigQuery to Snowflake.
• Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure new Snowflake-based data sources and dashboard metrics match existing Athena and Big Query data sources and dashboards. 
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports connected to Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and deliver data solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Create comprehensive documentation for data sources, ETL processes, and reporting solutions

Must-have Skills 

• 6+ years of proven expertise as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer with previous experience with data migration projects, particularly transitioning from Athena and BigQuery to Snowflake.
• Advanced skills in Tableau for dashboard development and report creation.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools and methodologies.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in both Snowflake and Tableau environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Certifications in Snowflake and/or Tableau.
