About the role

We are looking to bring on an Occupational Therapist at our Ballesol Almogávares residence who shares our commitment to service and helps improve the quality of life for the elderly through programs focused on rehabilitation, stimulation, and maintaining functional abilities.

What you'll do

  • Assess the functional capacity and level of autonomy of residents (assessment of basic and instrumental activities of daily living).
  • Design individualized programs for the maintenance or improvement of activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Conduct cognitive stimulation workshops (in collaboration with Psychology), crafts, psychomotricity, and therapeutic leisure (in coordination with TASOC).
  • Conduct gerontogymnastics workshops.
  • Adapt environments, objects, and technical aids to promote autonomy.
  • Promote social integration and participation in collective activities.
  • Collaborate in the prevention of physical and cognitive deterioration.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • MANDATORY Homologation by the Ministry of Education, in the case of foreign qualifications
  • Be registered with the corresponding Official College of Occupational Therapists and up-to-date with collegiate obligations.
  • Preferably at least one year of previous experience in the geriatric field and knowledge of the user profile of residences.
