What you'll do

He/She will be responsible for achieving the profitability and quality objectives established by the LATAM Hotels General Management, following the Group's policies. To do so, he/she will lead and guide the team, ensuring that commercial, human resources, quality, environmental, financial, and management guidelines are implemented.

Responsibilities:
The Barceló Hotel Director is the manager of the hotel's profit and loss account, and focuses his/her responsibilities on 4 fundamental areas, not excluding other functions:
- Commercial:
• Define the commercial and marketing strategy
• Identify business opportunities taking profitability criteria into account.
• Know and leverage all traditional and online channels. Drive the commercial team to increase sales across all products offered by the Hotel, fostering proactivity in generating business.
• Know competitor pricing and positioning and continuously explore the market.
• Make strategic Yield Management decisions.
- Financial management:
• Ensure the establishment's profitability by monitoring financial and management ratios. Prepare the annual budget and continuously monitor it.
• Oversee expenses in all hotel departments, ensuring proper stock management.
• Monitor the establishment's accounts receivable management.
- Customer:
• Ensure customer satisfaction by anticipating their needs, addressing their complaints, and providing solutions.
• Foster customer loyalty by constantly understanding what the customer needs.
• Ensure proper attention and response to complaints, claims, and suggestions regarding the product and service.
- Team:
• Ensure the selection and training of the entire team. Develop all team members, serving as an exemplary leader. Encourage decision-making within teams. Build talent pipelines by identifying potential and granting autonomy. Provide feedback to teams on areas for improvement.
• Manage and plan staffing according to budget and anticipated needs.
• Manage Labor Relations

- Implement and monitor quality systems and continuous improvement. Define, communicate, and share quality objectives and action plans with the team to achieve them.
- Represent the establishment in legal and economic matters.

What are we looking for?

• At least 5 years of experience as a Hotel Director.
• Advanced level of English; knowledge of other languages (German, French) is valued.
• Academic qualification at a bachelor's degree level, preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
• Experience in commercial management (tour operators, agencies, OTAs, and direct channel) as well as financial management.
• Experience in comprehensive hotel management and customer relations, with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
• Experience in team management and people development.
