What will you do?

The successful candidate will be part of the sustainability team, developing numerous projects in direct coordination with other areas or departments of the company.

Primarily, you will participate in:

• Preparation of the Barceló Group sustainability report (performing internal controls to ensure data reliability and quality, coordination and follow-up with hotels, content development, and support during verification audits).
• Support for the implementation and monitoring of sustainability standards in our hotels: Barceló Regen standards.
• Support in the implementation of projects developed within the area in coordination with other involved departments (decarbonization plan, double materiality, impact project, etc.).
• Identifying and implementing initiatives, together with associations, entities, and NGOs... that align with our sustainability strategy.

What are we looking for?

• 2/3 years working directly on sustainability issues (either in a company's sustainability department or in a consulting firm) with mastery of all associated processes and key sustainability concepts.
• Advanced level of English is essential.
• Knowledge of the hotel sector is desirable.
• A master's degree or advanced course in sustainability is desirable.
• Knowledge of non-financial information reporting regulations.
• Knowledge of sustainability certification standards.
