Pharmaceutical Development & Technology Transfer Scientist

• Professional experience in technology transfer, pharmaceutical development, process development, CMC, or related activities.
• Experience gained at a CDMO, pharmaceutical company, or biotechnology company that has transferred processes to external manufacturers.
• Ability to understand complex scientific processes and turn them into clear, structured, and executable documentation.
• High level of English, both spoken and written, required to hold technical meetings and work with international clients.
• Organizational, communication, and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Practical approach and problem-solving skills during development and technology transfer.

• Experience with lipid nanoparticles, RNA formulations, biological products, advanced therapies, or drug delivery systems.
• Knowledge of process scale-up for formulation, filtration, concentration, purification, or fill-and-finish operations.
• Experience in preparing technology transfer packages, development reports, manufacturing protocols, or CMC documentation.
• Familiarity with GMP environments and pharmaceutical product development requirements.
• Experience working with international CDMOs.
• Knowledge of oncology, tumor biology, or preclinical cancer models.
• PhD in a related scientific field.

• University degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related fields. A postgraduate qualification is a plus.

At Certest Biotec, we are looking to hire a Pharmaceutical Development & Technology Transfer Scientist with experience in pharmaceutical development and technology transfer to strengthen our ability to execute projects for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

We work on the development of technologies and products based on nucleic acids, including RNA, oligonucleotides, ionizable lipids, and lipid nanoparticles. We develop our own projects and projects for third parties, from the early stages of formulation and optimization through to the generation of processes and documentation that enable progress toward preclinical, regulatory, and manufacturing stages.

The selected candidate will play a cross-functional role within the Pharma area, helping to turn scientific developments into robust, reproducible processes that can be transferred to CDMOs or other manufacturing sites.

• Participate in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development projects for clients.
• Define, together with the scientific teams, the studies required to demonstrate the robustness, reproducibility, and transferability of processes.
• Prepare and review the technical documentation required for technology transfers to CDMOs.
• Coordinate transfer activities, including resolving technical queries, monitoring batches, and managing deviations or incidents.
• Contribute to defining scale-up strategies and process control.
• Help establish acceptance criteria, in-process controls, preliminary specifications, and comparability plans.
• Interact directly with international clients, collaborators, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with the teams working on LNP formulation, RNA, lipids, assays, and analytical development.
• Contribute to improving internal procedures and project management systems.
