About the role

For an important company in the textile sector, in the Moraña area, we need to hire a Research and Development Technician to carry out the following tasks:

What you'll do

  • Perform laboratory tests/trials for incoming raw materials and industrial trials.
  • Collaborate with quality in the collection and control of samples at the different stages of the process, as well as problem solving.
  • Interpretation, recording, and monitoring of documentation for tests carried out during the product development stages.
  • Creation of tables/reports based on the data obtained and recorded.
  • Complete the forms related to the work of the technical department and laboratory.
  • Maintenance of items in the X3 database.
  • Collaboration in the start-up of new processes and R&D&I developments.
  • Collaboration in monitoring current formulas and new formulations.
  • Prepare the formulations proposed by the head of the Technical Department.
  • Prepare samples for clients.
  • Prepare product data sheets.
  • Perform internal equipment verifications and control of external calibrations.
  • Contact product and component suppliers. Prepare documentation for meetings with suppliers and attend them if required.
  • Contact external laboratories, track expiring certifications, request quotes, and recertifications. Manage documentation for the different current certificates.
  • Collaborate with the manager in the analysis and knowledge of sector products to propose launches of new product lines.
  • Cooperate in the preparation of audits.
  • Collaborate in the correct implementation of the management system, in reducing consumption and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the laboratory, as well as the material handled within it.
  • Waste segregation in accordance with the implemented system.
  • Cooperate in achieving the set objectives.
  • Training of new staff.
  • Collaboration in continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Valuable experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar position.
  • We are looking for a rigorous, analytical, and proactive person.
  • Residence near the workplace is valued.
  • A vehicle is required for travel.
  • Higher Degree (GS) in Chemistry and/or similar.
  • Valuable basic training in prevention and handling of chemical products.
  • Valuable training related to quality and the environment.

  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
