Senior Software Engineer – Backend

Are you passionate about programming and interested in further developing your career as a Senior Backend Engineer leading Artificial Intelligence and LLM integration projects in complex production systems?

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Design, build, and operate scalable services and APIs in Python for applications with integrated AI.
• Integrate Artificial Intelligence models, LLMs (Large Language Models), and Machine Learning services into production systems.
• Define service boundaries, data models, persistence strategies, and integration contracts.
• Design with a focus on reliability, security, observability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Deploy and operate services in Cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Manage real AI challenges such as latency, rate limits, retries, structured responses, and sensitive data.
• Lead technical discussions, perform code reviews, and tutor/mentor other engineers on the team.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, platform engineers, and architects.

• Demonstrable experience in Backend software development (around 7+ years of experience or equivalent technical impact is valued).
• Proficiency in Python and backend API/service design.
• Strong architectural judgment in distributed systems, failure management, and relational database design / data modeling.
• Experience operating services in Cloud environments (AWS preferably).
• Good practices in clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
• Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Awareness and good practices in security, privacy, and data protection.

It would also be interesting if you knew (Nice to have):

• FastAPI, Terraform, Amazon EKS, PostgreSQL / Aurora.
• Asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.
• Real integration of AI and LLMs in production environments.

¿Cómo será tu día a día?

• Diseñar, construir y operar servicios escalables y APIs en Python orientados a aplicaciones con IA integrada.
• Integrar modelos de Inteligencia Artificial, LLMs (Large Language Models) y servicios de Machine Learning en sistemas de producción.
• Definir límites de servicios, modelos de datos, estrategias de persistencia y contratos de integración.
• Diseñar con foco en fiabilidad, seguridad, observabilidad, rendimiento y optimización de costes.
• Desplegar y operar servicios en entornos Cloud (preferiblemente AWS).
• Gestionar retos reales del área de IA como latencia, rate limits, reintentos (retries), respuestas estructuradas y datos sensibles.
• Liderar discusiones técnicas, realizar code reviews y tutorizar/mentorizar a otros ingenieros del equipo.
• Colaborar estrechamente con Data Scientists, Product Managers, ingenieros de plataforma y arquitectos.

Si te ves reflejado/a, te animamos a asumir este reto. Buscamos profesionales con sólida experiencia en desarrollo Backend y buenas prácticas de ingeniería:

• Experiencia demostrable en desarrollo software Backend (valorables alrededor de 7+ años de trayectoria o impacto técnico equivalente).
• Dominio de Python y diseño de APIs/servicios backend.
• Criterio arquitectónico sólido en sistemas distribuidos, gestión de fallos y diseño de bases de datos relacionales / modelado de datos.
• Experiencia operando servicios en entornos Cloud (AWS preferiblemente).
• Buenas prácticas de clean code, testing, CI/CD, observabilidad y soporte en producción.
• Conocimientos prácticos en Docker y Kubernetes.
• Sensibilidad y buenas prácticas en seguridad, privacidad y protección de datos.

También sería interesante que conocieras (Valorable):

• FastAPI, Terraform, Amazon EKS, PostgreSQL / Aurora.
• Procesamiento asíncrono y sistemas event-driven.
• Integración real de IA y LLMs en entornos de producción.
