At Serunion, a collective catering company with more than 30 years of experience in the sector and a market leader, we are looking to hire staff with experience in institutional catering. We offer you the opportunity to work during the summer months as support for our colleagues in the Health-Social division, in Llinars del Vallès.

As you know, as part of our team you will have the opportunity to put your culinary knowledge into practice in the center spaces. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant. 

What you'll do

  Responsibilities:

  •  Support in preparing menus for users.
  • Preparing some of the ingredients in the daily menu (sauces, stocks...).
  • Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team in preparing the daily menu (stewing, frying, baking...).
  • Cleaning kitchen machinery, utensils and equipment.
  • Keeping spaces tidy, clean and disinfected.
  • Working with colleagues to foster a good work environment to ensure good service.

How you'll work

  • Rotating work schedule: Monday to Sunday, with two days off, with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7/9 – 14/16; 13/15 – 20/22).
  • Full-time.

Requirements

  • Training preferably in Hospitality: Higher Technician in Restoration, Technician in Cooking or similar.
  • Proven experience as a cook of at least 2 years, preferably in a collective catering environment or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and/or work hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage your own time in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Resourceful person with strong communication skills.
  • Own vehicle and/or availability to travel to the workplace.
  • Teamwork.
  • Schedule availability.
