About the role

At Serunion, a food service company with over 30 years of experience in the sector and a market leader, we are looking to hire staff with experience in institutional catering. We offer you the possibility to work as support for our colleagues in the Healthcare-Social division, Villaverde- Madrid.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to put your culinary skills into practice in the spaces of our centers. We are looking for a Cook, to provide support in the centers in the Madrid area for sick leave replacement.

What you'll do

  • Develop preparations, ensure compliance with defined menus and technical data sheets, and implement good practices.
  • Prepare adapted menus and diets. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure proper organization and workflow.
  • Oversee the inventory of ingredients and materials, placing orders when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations – HACCP record.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the work area, and control the use of machinery, materials, and tools.
  • Train new team members in kitchen practices and company procedures.

How you'll work

Requirements

  • Training preferably in Hospitality: Higher Technician in Restoration, Technician in Cooking or similar.
  • Proven experience as a cook of at least 2 years, preferably in a collective catering environment or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and/or work hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage your own time in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Resourceful person with strong communication skills.
  • Own vehicle and/or availability to travel to the workplace.
  • Teamwork.
  • Schedule availability.
