Qualifications

We are looking to hire a Civil Engineer or Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in structural design and calculation of bridges and civil works, with proven results in complex projects.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and align solutions with project objectives and client expectations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English. Ability to speak additional languages will be positively valued.
• Proficiency in engineering calculation software for bridges and structures.
• Interpersonal skills to build trust and act as a technical advisor.
• Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers and driving the technical excellence of the team.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, delivering integrated solutions.
• Experience collaborating in other countries, primarily in Europe, will be positively valued.

Job Description

In the Transportation area, we are looking to incorporate a Structural Design Lead for Civil Works or Bridges to lead high-quality structural solutions and boost the growth of the discipline in Spain.

Our team designs and evaluates structures from start to finish—from conception and feasibility to preliminary and detailed design—both in specific bridge assignments and integrated into large multidisciplinary projects. We collaborate with public sector clients and contractors in design-and-build schemes, with a strong track record in Spain, other European countries, and the Middle East.

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Civil Works Structures, you will work on benchmark projects: railway and road bridges (including high speed), elevated metros, cut-and-cover tunnels and portals, rehabilitation and reinforcement of structures, as well as across the entire field of structures for civil infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to participate in emblematic projects in Spain and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate complex structural design projects—primarily civil works and bridges—from start to finish, ensuring quality solutions and client satisfaction.
• Prepare technical documentation (reports, calculation reports, tender documentation, and permits).
• Perform advanced calculations and designs for various types of bridges and civil works structures, ensuring compliance with applicable local and international regulations.
• Provide technical knowledge for studies and design work, and carry out value engineering assessments, identifying innovative designs, materials, and construction techniques.
• Perform quality control reviews of work carried out by other engineers, approving and signing off on the work.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers, raising the technical level of the team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary integration to deliver coherent structural solutions.
