About the Role
We are looking for a curious and analytically minded student or recent graduate to join our Data Science team as a Health Data Science Intern.
This internship offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, data science, digital health, and real world evidence (RWE).
You will contribute to the analysis of healthcare and digital health datasets, helping transform complex data into meaningful insights that support evidence generation and decision making.
The role is particularly suitable for students with a strong quantitative background who are interested in applying data science and analytical methods to healthcare challenges.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical industry while working on innovative projects involving real world data, digital health technologies, and healthcare analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Explore, analyse, and interpret healthcare and digital health datasets.
Support the preparation, cleaning, and quality assessment of clinical, real world, and digital health data.
Develop data analyses and visualisations to support healthcare research projects.
Apply statistical and analytical methods to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
Contribute to projects involving electronic health records, registries, wearable devices, and other real world data sources.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, epidemiologists, clinicians, and healthcare researchers.
Summarise findings and communicate results in a clear and structured way.
Support exploratory work related to machine learning and predictive analytics in healthcare.
Education
We are especially interested in students or recent graduates from: Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Other quantitative disciplines.
Students currently pursuing or recently completed an MSc in Health Data Science, Biomedical Data Science, Biostatistics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics or related fields are particularly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
Interest in healthcare, digital health, data science, or real world evidence.
Ability to work with data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have
Experience with R and/or SQL.
Exposure to machine learning or statistical modelling.
Experience working with healthcare, biomedical, or research datasets.
Knowledge of data visualisation techniques and tools.
Understanding of clinical, epidemiological, or healthcare data.
Academic or personal projects involving health-related data.
