Safety and Health Manager

As a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager, your role is key to driving improvements at both site and regional level. You will lead your team and help your colleagues maintain high standards, while fostering a culture of safety and inclusion across your sites.

A day in the life

This is an extremely varied role, based at one of our sites, that will allow you to contribute directly to numerous aspects of our safety culture. You will manage safety and health standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You will also lead your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or take advantage of opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage your team at the site, collaborating regularly with other teams across the company.
• Use internal reporting tools to analyze data and identify root causes, providing management with the information needed to make safety-related decisions.
• Provide guidance and provisions for safety and health projects and policies.
• Drive programs designed to improve Amazon's safety culture.

The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a fundamental role in ensuring the mental and physical well-being of our staff at work. Our team works with managers, associates, and local authorities across all our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon policies and legal regulations, and guaranteeing the safety of our work environments. The team offers a variety of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Program Managers. Regardless of your role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the safety strategy across the network.
