About the role

What will your mission be?

As a physician, your mission will be to guarantee comprehensive and personalized medical care for the resident, with the aim of achieving an improvement in their health and well-being, establishing active collaboration with the different professionals at the center.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate the Center's Care Departments, setting general guidelines based on your diagnosis.
  • Perform initial and periodic medical assessments of residents.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, pathologies, and ailments.
  • Prescribe medication and supervise its correct administration.
  • Coordinate healthcare with specialists and hospitals, including the out-of-hospital emergency service.
  • Prepare and update medical records.
  • Detect complications and act in emergency situations.
  • Advise the multidisciplinary team on healthcare guidelines.
  • Guide and keep families informed about the health status of residents.
  • Train and educate internal staff on relevant matters.

How you'll work

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a lunch break.

Requirements

  • Degree in Medicine, preferably with a specialization in Geriatrics or experience with the elderly.
  • MANDATORY Homologation by the Ministry of Education, in the case of foreign qualifications
  • Be registered with the corresponding Official College of Physicians and up to date with professional association obligations.
  • Desirable at least one year of previous experience in the geriatric field and knowledge about the user profile of residences.
