What you'll do

As part of the Restructuring & Turnaround team at EY Parthenon in our Madrid office, you will provide financial advisory services in operations involving the optimization of financial management, debt restructurings, negotiations of financial terms with lenders, reviews of business plans as a basis for negotiations in different processes, such as advising on critical pre-insolvency and insolvency proceedings, and you will provide comprehensive financial advice and support for day-to-day management in complex situations or those requiring improvements.

You will provide advisory services in:

  • Independent Business Review (IBR) in refinancing or divestment processes and Business Review in processes of strategic redefinition, balance sheet resizing, etc.
  • Analysis of the current situation from a business and financing perspective and analysis of the business plan for the coming years. Economic-financial models.
  • Advisory on the preparation of Restructuring Plans; Debt Restructuring; Working capital and treasury optimization, working capital financing and risk hedging. Definition of an optimal financing structure.
  • Identification of levers to increase profitability through higher revenues and cost optimization. Preparation of contingency and insolvency plans, turn-around plans and immediate improvement plans.
  • Advising the affected parties during the negotiation in the restructuring process from an independent standpoint.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Law and Business Administration, Engineering, Economics. Postgraduate qualifications (Master's, CFA or other financial certifications) are valued.
  • Solid financial analysis skills and experience in preparing Business Plans, including analysis of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flows.
  • Advanced experience in financial modeling and building integrated economic-financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement), as well as in preparing scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
