Actuarial Internships Barcelona

The educational project of MERCER aims to ensure that external academic internships carried out by students in the company allow them to apply the knowledge acquired in their training and the acquisition of professional skills.

The main objective of these internships is the integration of students into the professional environment through the development of supervised practical activities that enable the development of technical and transversal skills

We will count on you so that, under the supervision of the Tutor, you can:

Carrying out actuarial internships participating in Corporate Pension projects for national and multinational clients. The person will mainly collaborate on the following pension consulting projects:

• Actuarial valuations of actuarial risks.

• Design, implementation, management, and transformation of retirement plans.

• Financial-actuarial reviews of Employee Pension Plans

• Design, valuation, and implementation of early retirement models.

• Analysis of actuarial risks in Mergers and Acquisitions operations.

• Actuarial valuations of pension commitments and other long-term compensation for accounting closings (Local and international).

• Topics related to Financial Education

We are looking for a talented student to join our team of Actuaries in our Barcelona office, within our Flexible Compensation area.

• Education: Student of the Master's Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences

• Excellent written and spoken English level.

• Accustomed to working in a team.

• Initiative and a proactive attitude.

• Strong focus on client relations

• Self-motivation and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel user. Programming knowledge in Visual Basic will be valued. Attention to detail, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility

Contaremos contigo para que bajo la supervisión del/ de la Tutor/a puedas:

Realización de unas prácticas actuariales participando en proyectos de Previsión Social Empresarial para clientes nacionales y multinacionales. La persona colaborará principalmente en los siguientes proyectos de consultoría de pensiones:

• Valoraciones actuariales de riesgos actuariales.

• Diseño, implementación, gestión y transformación de planes de jubilación.

• Revisiones financiero-actuariales de Planes de Pensiones de Empleo

• Diseño, valoración e implantación de modelos de prejubilación.

• Análisis de riesgos actuariales en operaciones de Fusiones y Adquisiciones.

• Valoraciones actuariales de compromisos por pensiones y otras retribuciones a largo plazo para cierres contables (Locales e internacionales).

• Temas relacionados con la Educación Financiera

• Formación: Estudiante del Máster de Ciencias Actuariales y Financieras
