At Quirónsalud Pozuelo University Hospital, we are looking to bring on a Nurse for Endoscopies to join our team.

What will your mission be?

Providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after the procedure, promoting health education and working in a coordinated manner with the rest of the multidisciplinary team. All of this while following established care protocols and contributing to ensuring the highest quality of care and patient safety.

What you'll do

What will your duties be?

  • Providing comprehensive and safe patient care throughout the entire care process, ensuring proper communication with patients and their families.
  • Verifying correct patient identification following established safety protocols.
  • Informing, accompanying, and monitoring the patient, properly recording care activity in the medical record.
  • Keeping knowledge continuously up to date and participating in initiatives to improve the quality of care.
  • Collaborating in the organization of the unit and supervising auxiliary staff when necessary.
  • Administering sedation under medical prescription, monitoring vital signs, and assessing the patient's condition before, during, and after the procedure, including peripheral IV line placement and recovery monitoring.
  • Assisting in performing endoscopies, colonoscopies, endoscopic ultrasounds, and therapeutic digestive procedures such as ERCP, gastrostomies, or stent placement, following established protocols.
  • Preparing, checking, and ensuring the proper functioning and availability of the materials and equipment needed for each procedure.
  • Collaborating with the medical team in preparing materials, handling the endoscope, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
