From Quirónsalud's private hospitals in Madrid, we are looking for Recovery Room Nurses for the Quirónsalud University Hospital Madrid, located in Pozuelo de Alarcón.

What you'll do

What will be your functions and responsibilities?

  1. Respect and maintain an appropriate relationship with patients and families, collaborating in the promotion and maintenance of a professional and respectful environment, and providing the information and education that adequately responds to their needs. 2.    Take responsibility for direct patient care, according to the nursing care plan for the patients under their charge, ensuring their safety during the care process. 3.    Identify the patient, whenever the patient's condition allows, confirming name, surname, and date of birth and cross-checking it with the identification bracelet.4.    Show perseverance and interest in patient monitoring and control, informing them of how their care will proceed and any other matter that may be required, respecting the standards of excellent care; as well as making the appropriate notes in the patient's medical record. 5.    Stay updated on innovations in the nursing field and pursue professional growth and development. 6.    Act as a role model, helping to organize and supervise nursing assistants when appropriate.7.    Safeguard the narcotics key and record the controlled substances sheet according to established procedures. 8.    Ensure the replenishment of consumable materials, as well as the review of the defibrillator.9.    Assist the anesthesiologist in obstetric emergencies according to protocol.10.    Correctly prepare and administer medication and fluid therapy according to the physician's prescription.11.    Verify the patient's ID and check with the blood bank the receipt of samples for the preparation of blood products.12.    Correctly record the medication administered on the anesthesia chart, place the identification label, and verify the patient's last intake, weight, height, and size, as well as remove dentures and confirm possible allergies.13.    Ensure correct billing of the corresponding templates for preoperative and postoperative procedures.14.    Assist in anesthesia techniques (pediatric, if applicable) following the established procedure.15.    Properly manage the monitoring of the pediatric patient, as well as pediatric venous access and support, if applicable. 16.    Perform ventilatory, respiratory, cardiac, and hemodynamic monitoring following established procedures.17.    Properly locate and manage venous and arterial punctures, locoregional anesthesia catheters, dressings, drains, bladder catheters, and nasogastric tubes.18.    Observe and control the patient upon awakening and during anesthesia reversal according to protocol.19.    Correctly record on the anesthesia chart the hourly frequency of: HR, RR, BP, oxygen saturation, oxygen therapy, blood glucose levels, diuresis, drains, fluid therapy, VAS, medication, and infusion pumps.20.    Handle the patient's admission once the procedure is finished, when transferred to the area and upon discharge from the operating room.21.    Receive the anesthesiologist's report on the patient's condition, possible issues, and the treatment to follow.22.    Collaborate with the healthcare team in anesthetic recovery and hemodynamic stabilization of the patient.23.    Properly record the nursing actions that occurred during the recovery period.24.    Inform the receiving unit of the patient's general condition and the care initiated in recovery, once discharge is signed by the anesthesiologist, following the established procedure.
