From the private hospitals of Quirónsalud in Madrid, we are looking for a Head of Pharmacy for the Quirónsalud Valle del Henares Hospital, located in Torrejón.

What will your mission be?

To contribute to improving patient health through specialized pharmaceutical care that adds value to the care process and promotes and enables the effective, safe, and efficient use of medications within a framework of comprehensive and continuous care.

What will your responsibilities be?

Ensure the correct filing and maintenance of the documentation necessary for daily work.

To prepare purchasing schedules from laboratories, expense forecasts, and carry out periodic evaluations of supplies provided by suppliers.

To coordinate and optimize the medication flow at the center, from reception to replenishment at destination points, ensuring the availability of drugs according to established stock levels and properly planning the human resources assigned to the department.

To design, in collaboration with the Purchasing Department, investment programs and pricing policies related to pharmaceutical products and manage the assigned budget to ensure the appropriate use of the center's financial resources.

To ensure control and supervise the management of the main pharmacy warehouse and peripheral warehouses in accordance with department procedures.

To put forward proposals for solutions and innovations that generate value and take into account the optimization of processes and/or supply.

To manage, with the support of the human resources department, the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of service staff, carrying out effective human resources management (shift scheduling, workload distribution, etc.) in order to ensure quality services and positive labor relations.

To promote policies and strategies, including those related to occupational health and safety, and establish objectives to achieve compliance, allocating human resources, their competencies, materials, indicators, and the improvement actions necessary for monitoring and achieving these goals. To be responsible for the development and updating of process documentation, including that related to occupational health and safety, and ensure compliance along with the correct use of associated records. To be proactive in identifying and communicating improvement actions, including those related to information, training, and monitoring of occupational health and safety conditions at work.

To ensure compliance with the management system in their area, analyze the results of their area, evaluate and implement improvements for the execution of the process, environmental management, and energy optimization.

To inform staff under their supervision and management about the evaluation of any aspect related to the environment and energy management.

To ensure that the necessary processes for the quality and environmental management system are established, implemented, and maintained. To inform senior management about the performance of the quality and environmental management system and the needs for improvement. To promote awareness of patient requirements at the center. To collaborate in raising environmental awareness among all center staff.
