About the role

The EMSE department has an opening for an HSE Process Safety Manager. He/she will report to the HSE&LP Senior Manager.

Reporting to the HSE&LP Manager, he/she will promote Safety, Hygiene, Health and respect for the Environment through HSE management systems, while ensuring compliance with the legal requirements applicable at the site, within his/her scope of responsibility.

MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Act as a technician of the company's own Prevention Service, covering the disciplines of Safety, Hygiene and Ergonomics, and complying with Law 31/1995 and the plant's Prevention Plan.
  • Develop the plant's prevention standards in accordance with current regulations and the guidelines created by the head office.
  • Ensure legal compliance in the handling, processing and storage of flammable and chemical products (ATEX, APQ).
  • Apply risk assessment methodologies for processes, machinery and work equipment.
  • Investigate any accidents that may occur, carry out the follow-up and the resulting preventive plan.
  • Keep the Self-Protection Plan up to date and act as the point of contact with the authorities.
  • Act as the main liaison with the insurance company, evaluating Loss Prevention requirements and leading their implementation.
  • Lead the Construction Safety program and ensure compliance with Royal Decree 1627/1997 in construction projects.
  • Ensure legal compliance in the Coordination of Business Activities (CAE) and participate in the approval of contractors.
  • Participate in the HSE programs of the in-house Prevention Service, developing and executing preventive action plans.
  • Collaborate in risk assessments, work permits and internal training in Safety and Hygiene.
  • Participate in change management processes and new projects, validating legal and safety requirements.

  • University degree in a scientific/technical field.
  • Higher Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, with Safety and Hygiene being essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Prevention Technician in an industrial environment, in the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Advanced English level.
  • User-level computer skills (MS Office).
