You will have strong data analysis skills, experience using tools such as Excel and Power BI, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and business improvement.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Experience within logistics, infrastructure, utilities or other operationally focused industries would be advantageous, along with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. You will be collaborative, organised and driven to deliver value through data and performance excellence.

Senior Operational Analyst- UK wide- PermanentAbout the role
Working as part of the UK Operations and Commercial function, the Senior Operational Analyst is responsible for providing advanced operational analysis, performance monitoring and data-driven insights across Exolum's UK terminals and pipeline network. The role supports the optimisation of operational performance, asset utilisation, customer service and business efficiency by collecting, interpreting and communicating complex operational data to key stakeholders.
You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Finance teams to identify trends, improve reporting processes and support strategic decision-making. Through robust analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help drive operational excellence, enhance business performance and contribute to the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of Exolum's services. The role also plays a key part in developing performance metrics, supporting business planning activities and identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness across the UK network.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities
Deliver O&M monthly cost reporting with Budget Holders, budgeting & forecasting at North East and Humberside regions
Support operational analysis team with their cost reporting duties at all other clusters
Assist program manager with UK & Ireland Business rates providing support for the Finance team, Operational Team and External consultants achieve accurate forecasts and deliver savings where possible
Deliver and communicate with all elements of the business, action to satisfy Statutory as well as internal compliance reporting requirements
Working with ops and maintenance managers to ensure all works CAPX in nature are raised using the new process
Support relevant procurement activities
Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
