At Manpower Engineering, we are working on the recruitment of a Quality, Food Safety and Environment Manager (M/F/X) for Intermalta San Adrián, a leading agri-food manufacturer in the malting industry.

What you'll do

  • Lead the on-site implementation and maintenance of Quality, Food Safety, Environment and Zero Waste policies and procedures, ensuring their continuous improvement, involving the local team, proposing improvements, applying the management guidelines agreed with the Management, and ensuring compliance with objectives and regulations.
  • Design, execute, monitor and supervise risk assessments and the Quality, Environment and Food Safety control plan at the plant.
  • Be responsible for the annual on-site renewal of Quality, Food Safety, Environment and Zero Waste certifications.
  • Interpret and evaluate results of internal and external analyses for the acceptance of raw materials (barley), the correct development of the industrial process, the delivery of products (malt) and by-products, and determine conclusions, criteria and recommendations in coordination with the Quality, Supply and Operations Management.
  • Lead the resolution of claims and non-conformities in process and product, involving all affected areas, as well as communicating the agreed conclusions to customers and suppliers in a timely and proper manner.
  • Interpret and evaluate results of internal and external analyses in environmental and food safety matters to ensure compliance with legal requirements, internal requirements established in management systems, and customer requirements.
  • Respond in a timely and proper manner to legal requirements from the administration regarding Quality, Food Safety and Environment.
  • Prepare, manage and report on Quality, Food Safety, Environment and Zero Waste indicators for the plant.
  • Integrate Quality Committees of the company's Quality team, and local work teams for the monitoring and improvement of processes, procedures, services and products.
  • Provide support in environmental and food safety matters to the other plants in Seville, Albacete and Poceirão (Portugal).
  • Input and manage data and information in computer systems.

What profile are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or similar.
  • A postgraduate degree in Food Safety, Environment and Quality is highly valued.
  • Additional training in Brewing and Malting is valued.
  • A B2 level of English is essential (a level test will be conducted).
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles in an agri-food company is essential, with demonstrable experience in implementing improvement actions in Quality, Product Food Safety and Environmental Impact.
  • Dynamic profile, with initiative and the ability to define and lead actions, with communication and teamwork skills.
  • Availability for occasional travel to other production plants in Spain and Portugal is essential.
