As a Cook, you will be responsible for the preliminary preparation, cooking process, plating, or presentation of high-quality dishes to provide an excellent experience for guests.

What you'll do

  • Preparation, preservation, and organization of the mise-en-place for each service, minimizing product loss.
  • Ensure the presentation, quantity, and quality of each dish according to established standards.
  • Verify and control the proper storage of products, monitoring the condition of all food to rotate and maintain maximum quality (FIFO).
  • Receipt, preservation, and organization of products for your section.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized work area.
  • Report any maintenance, hygiene, and safety issues.
  • Be aware of department goals and strive to achieve them as part of the team.
  • Follow all relevant health department regulations and all customer service guidelines (HACCP).

What we're looking for

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Cook's Assistant, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
  • Vocational training in hospitality/F&B/cooking.
  • Fluency in the local language is required, and knowledge of English is highly valued.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail.

How you'll work

  • Permanent contract
  • Continuous shifts (morning or afternoon). One weekend off per month.
  • Salary according to the Provincial Hospitality Agreement for a 5-star hotel.
