About the role
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team for our US market. This is a crucial role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of financial processes, particularly in US accounting and some experience with tax compliance. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office by providing essential support to the accounting department.
What you'll do
You'll be at the heart of our daily operations, providing critical support that keeps our company running smoothly. Working closely with the accounting team, you'll ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will have a strong emphasis on:
Financial Operations: Assist the accounting team with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including processing invoices, expense reports, and preparing payments.
Data Entry & Reconciliation: Perform accurate and timely data entry for financial transactions and assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
Tax Compliance: Support in the preparation of documentation for tax filings and ensure compliance with US tax regulations.
Reporting: Help prepare financial reports and presentations by gathering data and formatting documents.
Audits & Compliance: Assist in preparing documents for audits and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
Tools: Utilize tools like Avalara and NetSuite to manage accounting and tax-related tasks.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a dedicated professional who possesses:
5+ years of experience in an accounting or office support role, with specific experience in US accounting related tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Nice to have
Experience with accounting software like NetSuite and Taxes management software like Avalara is a significant plus.

About the company & team
As the Senior Accounting Specialist, you'll work closely with the accounting team and report directly to the VP of Finance Operations. You'll also collaborate with other departments, including Sales, BI and Operations, to ensure a seamless workflow.
