About the role

At Saigu Cosmetics we are not only building a makeup brand; we are building a different way of working. Since 2019 we have been developing high-quality products designed to enhance beauty in a practical and natural way, while creating a team with ambition, autonomy and a real desire to make an impact. We are looking for curious, committed and proactive people who want to grow alongside a company in full expansion.

That is why we are looking for our next Purchase Specialist.

In this role you will play a key part within the Supply team: you will ensure that we have the materials, components, packaging and services we need, when we need them, while continuously looking for better ways to buy, negotiate, analyse and work.

If you enjoy understanding what lies behind the numbers, negotiating with sound judgement and seeing how your decisions have a real impact on the business.

You will need to be an organised and rigorous person, capable of managing different priorities at the same time, but also someone with a restless spirit: if you notice that something could be done better, we expect you to question it, propose alternatives and help us change it.

You will work within the Supply team, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain and collaborating in a highly cross-functional way with Supply Planning, Logistics, Product, Finance, Quality/Regulatory, Revenue and other teams involved in procurement and product development processes.

In your day-to-day work you will combine the most operational side of Purchasing with analysis, negotiation, planning and continuous improvement. Because here we are not looking for you to simply place orders: we want you to understand the reasoning behind decisions and help Saigu grow in an increasingly efficient way.

What you'll do

  • You will manage the complete purchasing cycle for materials, packaging, raw materials, services and consumables, following up on each order until it is correctly received.

  • You will ensure that we have the necessary materials and that procurement lead times are aligned with Supply planning.

  • You will work directly with national and international suppliers, negotiating prices, payment terms, lead times and other commercial conditions.

  • You will look for opportunities to optimise costs and improve commercial conditions without compromising our quality and service standards.

  • You will build long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and take part in the search and qualification of new partners when necessary.

  • You will monitor stock levels of finished products, semi-finished goods and components, helping us maintain the balance between having what we need and avoiding overstock or unnecessarily tied-up capital.

  • You will analyse possible inventory discrepancies and propose actions to prevent stockouts or excesses.

  • You will analyse the evolution of purchasing costs and their impact on the margin of our products.

  • You will monitor the Purchasing budget and help us achieve the company's COGS targets through better purchasing, negotiation and procurement decisions.

  • You will keep the documentation linked to purchasing and import operations up to date and properly traced.

  • You will work with the documentation required for international operations and provide support to Finance on matters such as DUA, invoices or customs documentation.

  • You will keep Purchasing and supplier master data up to date within the ERP, ensuring that we work with reliable information.

  • You will analyse and report on the main KPIs of the Purchasing area and prepare information for monthly closings and S&OP meetings.

  • You will provide analytical support for the Supply team's decision-making.

  • And, above all, you will have room to question how we do things: identify repetitive tasks, simplify processes and take part in digitalisation and automation projects that allow us to work better.

What we're looking for

  • Purchasing and supplier management and negotiation.

  • Planning and procurement.

  • Inventory management and analysis.

  • Cost, budget and KPI analysis.

  • Excel and data analysis tools.

  • ERP and digital management tools.

  • Import documentation and international operations.

  • Basic knowledge of financial processes related to purchasing.

  • Professional English, especially for communication with international suppliers.

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain departments, managing suppliers and purchasing operations.

  • Education related to Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration and Management, Logistics, International Trade, Economics or similar.

What you'll get

  • Permanent full-time contract.

  • Compensation between €28,000 and €32,000 gross per year depending on experience.

  • Personalised career plan: coaching, courses and development plan.

  • Free Saigu products, free launches for you and -50% discount on all products for you and whoever you want.

  • A very close-knit and professional team you can count on at all times.

If you are looking for a project where your work matters and you can grow professionally surrounded by people who share your values, Saigu is your place.

How you'll work

  • Hybrid model: on-site based at our Barcelona office (Balmes Street) and you will have 40 days per year of remote work.

  • Flexible entry and exit hours from Monday to Friday. Intensive working day on Fridays. Intensive schedule in Summer.

Visa & relocation

We will only consider applications from people who already reside in Barcelona or who intend to move there.

Hiring process

If you meet the requirements, we would love to meet you in person and tell you more about what we are looking for and what we offer. It is very important that we both make sure there is a 'match' both professionally and personally, because we spend almost more time with our colleagues than with our families, and it is important that you know whether you are putting your talent at the service of a project consistent with your own values.
