Job Description

At T-Systems we are looking for a Senior Transformation Project Manager to lead strategic digital transformation projects for clients in Catalonia, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of technology solutions that add value to the business, improve public services, and contribute to the modernisation of the Administration.

Functions and responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of digital transformation projects from start to finish.
  • Define, together with the client and the different stakeholders, the scope, objectives, planning, deliverables, and success criteria of the project.
  • Manage the scope, schedule, budget, and technological and human resources, ensuring compliance with the commitments made.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration among functional, technical, and business profiles.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and incidents, defining mitigation and contingency plans when necessary.
  • Carry out continuous project monitoring through indicators, status reports, and governance meetings, communicating progress clearly and proactively to all parties involved.
  • Manage the client relationship, ensuring smooth communication, alignment of expectations, and a high level of satisfaction.
  • Drive decision-making by proposing solutions and strategies that enable the project objectives to be achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, deadlines, budget, and project governance policies.
  • Promote continuous improvement through the application of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate, when necessary, in the preparation of technical proposals, bids, RFPs/RFIs, and associated documentation for new opportunities.

Essential requirements

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Organisation, or equivalent qualifications (MECES level 3 or higher).
  • Demonstrable experience of at least 6 years as a Project Manager handling complex technological transformation projects.
  • Experience in managing software development projects, implementing technology solutions, or modernising information systems.
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and traditional methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, or similar).
  • Ability to manage scope, planning, risks, quality, budget, and resources.
  • High level of Catalan and Spanish, both spoken and written.

The following will be especially valued

  • Experience in projects for the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) or other Public Administrations.
  • Knowledge of the operation, organisation, and procedures of the public sector.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects, cloud migration, data platforms, artificial intelligence, or process automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud architectures and technologies.
  • Experience in public procurement processes, preparation of bids, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Knowledge of data governance, interoperability, and enterprise architecture.
  • Knowledge of interoperability frameworks and standards used in Public Administrations.
