Job description

Job mission

Supervise and coordinate the execution of mechanical works on site (pile driving, assembly of trackers and modules), ensuring compliance with drawings, quality standards, safety, and project planning.

Main functions

1. Execution Supervision (Pile Driving, Trackers, and Modules)

  • Supervise the staking out and pile driving of profiles, ensuring verticality, alignment, and depth tolerances according to design.
  • Control the assembly of trackers (torque tubes, motors, and connections), verifying the torque values established by the manufacturer.
  • Supervise the correct handling and installation of photovoltaic modules.

2. Operational and Quality Control

  • Report daily performance (piles, trackers, and modules) against the planned schedule.
  • Carry out quality controls on site and manage the resolution of punch lists or mechanical issues.
  • Supervise the correct management and distribution of materials on site.

3. Safety and Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and the use of PPE by both own personnel and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate mechanical activities with the other disciplines to avoid interference on site.

Candidate requirements

Experience

  • General experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Construction and/or Renewable Energy sector.
  • Management experience: At least 3 years managing teams on site.
  • Valuable: Experience in civil construction, electrical installations, and/or renewable energy projects.

Education

  • Valuable: Higher-level Vocational Training in Metal Construction, Electromechanical Maintenance, or similar.
  • Valuable: Technical Engineering or a degree in a technical field.
  • University degree not essential if extensive demonstrable field experience is provided.

Technical knowledge

  • Drawing interpretation: Advanced reading of pile driving drawings, mechanical details, and plant layouts.
  • Pile driving machinery: Knowledge of the operation and supervision of pile drivers (Orteco, Gayk, or similar).
  • Precision tools: Handling of torque wrenches (verification of tightening torques) and laser levels for alignment.
  • Microsoft Office: Basic level, especially Excel, for daily production reporting.
