Job description

At ACCIONA, we are looking for people with high potential, teamwork skills, and motivation, who have solid competencies in Corporate Sustainability to work on the market's reference team. We believe that sustainability is not a support function; it is the way we create value.

In this position, you will not only follow the international agenda, but you will help define how one of the leading global infrastructure companies influences the major debates that will shape the economic, climate, and social transition of the coming decades.

We are looking for someone capable of anticipating trends, building solid positions, and turning complex ideas into strategic proposals that guide senior management decision-making and strengthen ACCIONA's international leadership.

You will be responsible for designing and driving the company's international positioning strategy in sustainability within ACCIONA's corporate sustainability area, strengthening the company's presence in the main multilateral forums, business organizations, financial institutions, and spaces of global influence.

You will strengthen the company's participation in organizations such as WBCSD, UNGC, CLG, WMBC, etc., and other international platforms, developing high-level relationships with governments, multilateral bodies, investors, think tanks, and business leaders.

Additionally, you will incorporate new artificial intelligence tools, information analysis, and automation to transform the way trends are identified, strategic recommendations are generated, and high-value-added executive content is produced.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is willing to get involved in a high-performance team, is intellectually very curious, and is passionate about a profession in which you must always stay up to date.
  • Has a few years of experience in corporate strategy, sustainability, institutional relations, international public affairs, strategic consulting, or executive communications.
  • Possesses excellent analytical skills to interpret regulatory, geopolitical, economic, and technological trends and translate them into implications for the business.
  • Is capable of building solid and differentiating narratives that position ACCIONA as an international benchmark in sustainable infrastructures.
  • Enjoys preparing strategic reports, speeches, opinion articles, position papers, and materials for senior management.
  • Has experience coordinating cross-functional projects with multiple business areas and managing complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Possesses a high capacity for influence, negotiation, and management of high-level stakeholders.
  • Is autonomous, rigorous, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Has excellent written communication and executive presentation skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Shows intellectual curiosity and the ability to integrate disciplines such as economics, finance, regulation, geopolitics, energy, biodiversity, or carbon markets.
  • Has experience or a strong interest in using generative artificial intelligence tools for research, document synthesis, content creation, and decision-making support.

What can we offer?

  • Being part of a highly dedicated team, in one of the world's leading companies in sustainable infrastructure solutions.
  • Working directly with senior management in defining ACCIONA's international positioning.
  • Participating in the main global debates on energy transition, sustainable finance, biodiversity, infrastructure, innovation, and competitiveness.
  • Representing ACCIONA in the main international forums alongside governments, companies, multilateral bodies, and investors.
  • Joining a team internationally recognized for its leadership in corporate sustainability.
  • An international, dynamic, and highly intellectual environment, with continuous exposure to leading opinion makers and decision-makers.
  • The opportunity to incorporate the most advanced technologies —including artificial intelligence— to redefine the way organizations analyze trends, develop strategic thinking, and exert international influence.
  • Extensive opportunities for professional development, continuous learning, and participation in strategic projects with global impact.

If you are passionate about understanding how the great economic, technological, and climate challenges evolve, enjoy building ideas that influence business strategy, and want to contribute to ACCIONA continuing to lead the international conversation on sustainability and infrastructure, we would be delighted to meet you.

Candidate requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Institutional Relations, or similar.
  • C1 level of English or similar, being able to work with complete fluency in international environments.
  • Training at international institutions in International Relations, Economics, Political Science, Sustainability, Finance, Strategic Communications, or related disciplines will be especially valued.
  • Experience working with multilateral bodies, development banks, or international institutions.
  • Participation in regulatory processes, public consultations, or the preparation of public policy proposals.
  • Experience in corporate sustainability, sustainable finance, energy transition, or infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of frameworks such as CSRD, ESRS, the European Taxonomy, SBTi, TNFD, GHG Protocol, carbon markets, and other international initiatives.
  • Experience preparing senior management interventions at international events or managing complex institutional agendas.
  • Ability to use advanced artificial intelligence and document analysis tools in strategic research processes.
