About the role

We are looking to bring in a Nurse at our Ballesol Latina residence who will guarantee comprehensive, close and quality healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our residents in a humane and trusting environment.

What will your mission be?

As a nurse, you will be responsible for providing personalized and continuous healthcare to residents, ensuring the correct administration of treatments and clinical follow-up for each person. Your role is key within the multidisciplinary team, coordinating care and promoting health education among professionals, residents, and families.

What you'll do

Responsibilities and duties of the position

  • Monitor and record residents' vital signs and weight, carrying out clinical follow-up together with the auxiliary team.
  • Administer medication prescribed by the medical team, coordinating preparation and distribution with auxiliary health or pharmacy staff, and supervising correct intake together with SPV and geriatric care assistants.
  • Apply topical treatments, perform dressings and typical nursing techniques, such as IV line insertion, placement and changing of probes or ostomy pouches, blood glucose control, and administration of medication subcutaneously, intravenously, or intramuscularly.
  • Detect and respond to possible medical emergencies, applying established protocols and mobilizing the necessary resources effectively and safely.
  • Provide health and care education to both family members and center staff, promoting good practices and healthy habits.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, providing relevant information on the clinical status of residents.
