What you'll do

Propose all necessary measures in safety, hygiene, and ergonomics to eliminate or reduce risks, monitoring the effective compliance with the proposed measures.

Collaborate with the SPP in the assessment of store occupational risks and its updates, in the planning of preventive activity, as well as in internal and external audits, monitoring the implementation of the planned measures.

Prepare, propose implementation dates, and monitor the preventive activity plan for the centre.

Develop and comply with the actions proposed in the procedures, internal notes, and guidelines that form part of the H&S Management System.

Ensure compliance with the H&S training plan established in coordination with the store People & Culture Manager, delivering the necessary training actions.

Ensure the implementation of the emergency and evacuation plan (self-protection plan) based on the established guidelines.

Investigate workplace accidents occurring at the centre (together with the medical service), establishing effective corrective actions.

Act as the H&S liaison at the centre, both internally (co-workers, SPP, medical service, prevention delegates...), and externally (SPA), coordinating with the SPA the performance of measurements and studies and ensuring the delivery of the necessary training in these matters.

Actively participate in the quarterly CSS meetings, monitoring the topics and agreements reached.

Carry out periodic H&S reviews at the centre regarding compliance with RD 486/97 and other regulations.

Collaborate with the People & Culture team and the local Medical Service to design and propose local health and safety actions that increase people's health and well-being.

Measure worker well-being using data and analysis to improve the overall health and well-being of the workforce.

Implement the national H&S and health and well-being strategy at unit level to ensure the health and well-being of IKEA co-workers, focusing on creating a modern, supportive, healthy, and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Qualification as a senior technician in occupational risk prevention.
  • Experience in the specialties of Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics and Psychosociology.
  • Previous experience working with management systems.
  • Good digital skills (Office 365, H&S management software (CAE)...).
  • Experience in the same position is valued.
  • Previous experience working in a customer-oriented service company, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Experience in health and safety committees and attendance at labour inspections.
  • English: B2 level spoken and written.
  • Training in occupational risk prevention auditing is recommended.
  • Experience in implementing Corporate Wellness.
