As a leader in Defense and Security, we are looking for a Cryptographic Key Management Software Engineer to join the QKD GEO GARBO project, contributing to the design, development, and validation of key management systems (KMS) based on secure hardware.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and implement cryptographic key management software protocols.
  • Design, develop, and validate key management systems supported by secure hardware.
  • Develop components in C/C++ focused on security, performance, and robustness services.
  • Integrate and operate with HSMs using standard interfaces (PKCS#11).
  • Design and execute unit tests (design + execution) to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Work with databases / SQL when necessary for persistence or auditing.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and networks teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Prepare technical documentation associated with developments and validations.

✅ Experience in software development, preferably in security/encryption environments.
✅ Advanced C++ and proficiency in C/C++ development.
✅ Experience or familiarity working with HSMs and integration via PKCS#11.

✅ Basic knowledge of or interest in QKD and/or post-quantum cryptography (PQC) (valuable).
✅ Experience in designing and executing unit tests (intermediate level).
✅ Proficiency with Linux systems (Ubuntu and/or Red Hat).
✅ Knowledge of SQL (intermediate level).

✅ Analytical profile, careful with software quality and security.
✅ Ability to work in a team, communicate technical ideas, and propose improvements.
✅ Availability to work in Alcobendas, with a hybrid model (60% annual remote work).
