About the role

YOUR NEW ROLE
Coordinate the teams responsible for purchasing and procuring hardware, local communications and certain professional services, ensuring the availability of the materials and services needed for the store network (nearly 2,000 points of sale), head offices and logistics warehouses, on time, at the right cost and quality. In addition, ensure efficient supplier, budget and invoicing management and cross-functional collaboration with other key areas of the company, also contributing to the continuous improvement of the area's tools and processes.

What you'll do

  • Lead and coordinate two specialised teams:

a purchasing team, responsible for acquiring hardware, local communications and professional services for stores, HQ and logistics warehouses

a procurement team, in charge of ensuring the availability of the hardware and services needed for store openings

  • Plan and supervise the activity of both teams, ensuring proper prioritisation, organisation of workloads and compliance with deadlines.
  • Negotiate with hardware, local communications and professional services suppliers to obtain the best economic, contractual and service conditions, ensuring the competitiveness and sustainability of agreements.
  • Design and manage framework agreements with suppliers providing national coverage to the store network, as well as the signing or renewal of current contracts.
  • Define equipment and service standards for the entire store network, seeking economies of scale and operational homogeneity.
  • Manage a significant budget within the Technology area, carrying out financial monitoring, budget control and spend optimisation.
  • Supervise and ensure control of invoicing linked to the area, guaranteeing proper administrative management and coordination with the teams involved.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key areas for team operations, such as Expansion, Transport and Finance, ensuring aligned and efficient execution.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for the applications and tools used by the team in its daily operations, providing business insight and process knowledge.
  • Drive improvements in processes, ways of working and tracking indicators to increase efficiency, traceability and quality of service.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in international environments.
  • Experience negotiating with hardware, communications and/or professional services suppliers.
  • Experience in people management and team coordination.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP at buyer level.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, procurement and logistics processes.
  • Experience managing suppliers on an international scale, ideally in retail environments with a broad network of points of sale.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of other languages will be positively valued.
  • Previous participation in tool or process improvement projects within Technology or Operations.
  • Knowledge of Jira.
