Job description
We are seeking a Laboratory Animal Veterinarian Technician to join our Quality Operations team at a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development and manufacture of veterinary medicines under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The selected candidate will perform duties associated with Function F (Designated Veterinarian) and Function C (Procedure Performance) in accordance with Royal Decree 53/2013 and Order ECC/566/2015, also participating in analytical activities within the animal laboratory.
Main responsibilities
- Advise scientific and technical staff on animal welfare matters.
- Oversee the health status of animals housed in the facility.
- Collaborate with the Animal Welfare Body (AWB).
- Advise on health surveillance programs, analgesia, anesthesia, and euthanasia.
- Promote the application of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement).
- Participate in audits and inspections related to animal welfare.
- Draft and review procedures related to animal handling and care.
- Perform authorized experimental procedures.

Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in an animal facility or animal experimentation center.
- Experience in handling laboratory animals and sample collection.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry will be valued.

Buscamos un/a Técnico Veterinario de Laboratorio Animal para incorporarse a nuestro equipo de Operaciones de Calidad en una compañía farmacéutica dedicada al desarrollo y fabricación de medicamentos veterinarios bajo Normas de Correcta Fabricación (GMP).
La persona seleccionada desempeñará funciones asociadas a la Función F (Veterinario Designado) y a la Función C (Realización de Procedimientos) de acuerdo con el Real Decreto 53/2013 y la Orden ECC/566/2015, participando además en actividades analíticas dentro del laboratorio animal.
Responsabilidades principales
- Asesorar al personal científico y técnico en materia de bienestar animal.
- Supervisar el estado sanitario de los animales alojados en la instalación.
- Colaborar con el Órgano Encargado del Bienestar Animal (OEBA).
- Asesorar sobre programas de vigilancia sanitaria, analgesia, anestesia y eutanasia.
- Promover la aplicación de los principios de las 3R (Reemplazo, Reducción y Refinamiento).
- Participar en auditorías e inspecciones relacionadas con bienestar animal.
- Elaborar y revisar procedimientos relacionados con el manejo y cuidado de animales.

- Redactar y revisar procedimientos normalizados de trabajo (PNT).
- Participar en actividades de validación, cualificación y mejora continua del laboratorio.
Experiencia
- Mínimo 6 meses de experiencia en un animalario o centro de experimentación animal.
- Experiencia en manejo de animales de laboratorio y toma de muestras.
- Se valorará experiencia previa en industria farmacéutica, biotecnológica o CRO.
