Project Specialist - Maritime Transport

In this context, we are looking for talent for the position of Project Specialist - Maritime Transport (Madrid)

Through this role, you will be part of this exciting challenge, supporting the development and management of sustainable and competitive natural gas supply sources for Naturgy.

Your daily challenges will focus on:

Commercial Dimension

• Analysis of international LNG markets and commercial opportunities.
• Support in commercial negotiations and management of maritime transport contracts.
• Identification and development of new value-added projects in the shipping sector.
• Preparation of economic analyses and support for strategic business decision-making.

Operational/Technical Dimension

• Operational/technical management of LNG carriers.
• Monitoring of operational costs and analysis of deviations.
• Monitoring of regulatory and contractual compliance (policies, inspections, certifications).
• Incident management.
• Cross-functional coordination with internal teams (logistics, trading, legal) and external partners (shipowners, agents) to ensure effective execution of operations.

Transformation and Continuous Improvement

• Digitalization and automation of operational and reporting processes.
• Development of analytical tools for cost monitoring and fleet optimization.
• Use of advanced data analysis tools and artificial intelligence applied to the maritime business.
• Adaptation and implementation of new maritime regulations.
• Providing innovative solutions to improve the technical, commercial, and economic performance of the unit.

What you need:

• Education:
• Degree in Naval Engineering, Nautical Science, or similar.
• Required Qualifications:

• • High level of English (mandatory) C1 level
  • Proficiency in digital and analytical tools, especially Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and artificial intelligence tools.

• Desirable Qualifications:
• Previous experience in maritime transport, the energy sector, or LNG markets.
• Experience in fleet management, shipping operations, cost analysis, or development of maritime projects.
• Knowledge of international maritime regulations (IMO, MARPOL, etc.).
• Ability to work with data, generate analytical models, and support decision-making.

A través de esta posición serás parte de este reto ilusionante dónde apoyarás en el desarrollo y gestión de fuentes de suministro de gas natural sostenibles y competitivas para Naturgy

Los retos de tu día a día estarán orientados a:

Dimensión Comercial

• Análisis de mercados internacionales de GNL y oportunidades comerciales.
• Apoyo en negociaciones comerciales y gestión de contratos de transporte marítimo.
• Identificación y desarrollo de nuevos proyectos de valor en el ámbito del shipping.
• Elaboración de análisis económicos y apoyo a la toma de decisiones estratégicas de negocio.

Dimensión Operativa/Técnica

• Gestión operativa/técnica de buques metaneros.
• Seguimiento de costes operativos y análisis de desviaciones.
• Seguimiento del cumplimiento normativo y contractual (pólizas, inspecciones, certificaciones).
• Gestión de incidencias.
• Coordinación transversal con equipos internos (logística, trading, legal) y externos (armadores, agentes) para asegurar la ejecución efectiva de las operaciones.

Transformación y Mejora Continua

• Digitalización y automatización de procesos operativos y de reporting.
• Desarrollo de herramientas analíticas para seguimiento de costes y optimización de flota.
• Uso de herramientas avanzadas de análisis de datos e inteligencia artificial aplicadas al negocio marítimo.
• Adaptación e implementación de nuevas regulaciones marítimas.
• Aportar soluciones innovadoras para la mejora del desempeño técnico, comercial y económico de la unidad.

Lo que necesitas:

• Titulación:
• Titulación en Ingeniería Naval, Náutica o similar.
• Requisitos Obligatorios:

• • Nivel alto de inglés (imprescindible) nivel C1
  • Dominio de herramientas digitales y analíticas, especialmente Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint y herramientas de inteligencia artificial.

• Requisitos Valorables:
• Experiencia previa en transporte marítimo, sector energético o mercados de GNL
• Experiencia en gestión de flota, operaciones de shipping, análisis de costes o desarrollo de proyectos marítimos.
• Conocimiento de normativas marítimas internacionales (IMO, MARPOL, etc.).
• Capacidad para trabajar con datos, generar modelos analíticos y apoyar la toma de decisiones.
