Functions

Nordex Energy Ibérica, an internationally renowned company in the renewable energy sector, is looking to bring on board a Health and Safety Technician to join our team and ensure the highest standards in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment at wind farms. The selected candidate will play a key role in supervising, implementing, and improving QHSE procedures in the field, working closely with the various technical and operational teams.

Functions:

1. Inspections,  of operational control and compliance at the site in QHSE mattersCarry out QHSE safety inspections at wind farms and workplaces.Verify compliance with safety procedures at the site, detect non-compliance, and propose improvements.Open HSE Cases in ServiceNow in the event of deviations or the need for corrective actions, recording the person responsible and following up until closure.Monitor safety and health at the workplaces within their group.Act as a preventive resource, for example: in major corrective maintenance, following the applicable procedure and actively supporting in the field.

2. Incident managementManagement of workplace incidents at assigned workplaces: communication, registration, documentation, and follow-up.Prepare first-aid reports in the insurance company portal,Participate in incident/accident investigations.Analyze external client inspections and provide evidence of the closure of actions.

3. Documentation, CAE, and client relationsBusiness activity coordination meetingsControl of the chemical product register and their SDS at the company's workplacesFocal point for assigned clientsReview of the management system and preparation/update of QHSE documentation.

4. Training and onboardingPlan new hires with People & Culture:Training needs (GWO, elevator, electrical risk, etc.).Transmission to Administration for booking management.Assign PPEProvide PRL training to workersSupport the planning of technician training and the identification of new training needs.Deliver specific training when applicable.Prepare onboarding materials and job description sheets.

5. Risk assessments, permits, and technical documentationReview risk assessments.Review work permits and ensure their correct application.

6. General coordination and cross-functional QHSE supportParticipate in meetings with other departments.Support or substitute in the tasks of other QHSE Windfarm Technicians when necessary.Provide support to QHSE in any other assigned task.

Requirements/Experience:Experience in the management and application of occupational risk prevention standards.Experience in the renewable energy sector (valuable).Good availability to travel.
