About the role

We are currently looking to incorporate a Facilities Technician in Madrid, who shares our commitment to quality, responsibility, and excellent service.

What you'll do

Job duties and responsibilities

- Value engineering for the improvement and optimization of projects.

- Review and supervision of facilities projects carried out by external engineering firms for:

- Mechanical installations (HVAC, ventilation)

- Hydraulic installations (plumbing, sanitation, fire protection)

- Special installations (medical gases, pneumatics)

- Execution of mechanical engineering tasks such as: schematic diagrams, thermal calculations, duct calculations, hydraulic calculations, measurements, and drafting of reports (specifications, tender documents, reports, etc.)

- Preparation of technical specifications and supporting documentation for requests for quotations on mechanical equipment.

- Technical review of the various quotations submitted by suppliers and preparation of technical comparisons for the selection of the supplier or subcontractor. Coordination with the purchasing department.

- Follow-up during the construction phase.

- Support for commissioning and start-up of the installations.

- Attendance at technical meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal departments, with leadership capability within the scope of their duties.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a profile with the following requirements and skills:

- A multidisciplinary engineer is required, with experience in leading facilities projects and strong expertise in mechanical installations and BMS.

- A degree in industrial engineering is required (Industrial Engineering, ITI/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering).

- Experience in facilities projects for critical infrastructures (hospitals, data centers, airports, museums, tunnels, industry...).
- Ability to work in a team is required, as interaction with the other technical disciplines of the projects is necessary (civil, architecture, mechanical,..).

- Work on shared servers (i.e., SharePoint) is required. Work on local hard drives will not be permitted.

- Attention to detail, organized work, and analytical skills regarding electrical and low-voltage (ELV) design are required.

- Availability for domestic and international travel for short periods is required to provide support to projects and construction sites.

- Strong communication skills with a technical focus are required for meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.

- Knowledge of basic engineering software is required (Word, Excel, AutoCAD and/or Revit, Presto).

Nice to have

- Knowledge of specific calculation software is valued (HAP, CYPECAD, DMelect, Tekton3D, others).
