About the role

At Sener Mobility we work designing solutions for urban and rail transport, focusing on Railway Signalling Engineering projects (new installations and renovation of existing lines).

Specifically, we want to expand our team for Engineering Projects related to this field, with the possibility of doing so from our offices in Bilbao, Madrid or Barcelona. 

What you'll do

What will your duties be?

  • Analyse the technical and functional requirements of railway signalling projects in accordance with ADIF regulations and applicable standards (CENELEC, Spanish railway standards, etc.).

  • Develop signalling engineering in its different phases (tender, basic and detailed design), including:

    • Interlocking schemes

    • Functional and wiring drawings

    • Control and operation logics

    • Definition of interfaces with other systems (telecommunications, power, traffic control, etc.)

  • Prepare and review signalling technical documentation: reports, specifications, justification calculations and procedures.

  • Technically coordinate the integration of signalling with other railway subsystems, ensuring overall system coherence.

  • Participate in the definition and validation of signalling system architecture (electronic interlockings, ERTMS/ASFA, train protection systems, etc.).

  • Interact with the client to resolve technical comments, follow-up meetings and presentation of solutions.

  • Carry out internal quality reviews and verification of engineering in accordance with project procedures.

  • Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning phases

  • Manage interfaces with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools and methodologies within the signalling discipline.

What we're looking for

What do you need to fit the role?

We are looking for profiles with training in Engineering (Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar), with a background of more than 5 years of experience in drafting conventional signalling and ERTMS projects, working in an ADIF environment, and a  high level of English.

Knowledge of ERTMS systems, interlockings, track detection systems, fixed and onboard equipment will be required. Knowledge of CBTC, driverless operated lines, ATS (Automatic Train Supervision), CTC... is desirable.
