At Serunion, a contract catering company with more than 30 years of experience in the sector and a market leader, we are looking to bring on staff with experience in institutional catering. We offer you the opportunity to work as support for our colleagues in the Health-Social division, in Valencia.

As you know, as part of our team you will have the opportunity to put your culinary knowledge into practice in the centres' facilities. We are looking for a Cook (Health, Social and/or Elderly Care)

What you'll do

  • Develop dishes, ensure compliance with defined menus and technical sheets, and implement good practices.
  • Prepare adapted menus and diets. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure proper organization and workflow.
  • Oversee the inventory of ingredients and materials, placing orders when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations – HACCP record.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks for the work area, and control the use of machinery, materials, and equipment.
  • Train new team members in kitchen practices and company procedures. 

What you'll get

  • Temporary contract to cover staff cover during the months of June, July, August, September and/or October, with the possibility of joining the permanent team.
  • Rotating working hours: Monday to Sunday, with two days off, with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00 – 14:00; 14:00 – 21:00).

Requirements

  • Training preferably in Hospitality: Higher Technician in Restoration, Technician in Cooking or similar.
  • Proven experience as a cook of at least 2 years, preferably in institutional catering or a similar environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of culinary techniques and/or workplace hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage one's own time in a fast-paced work environment.
  • A resourceful person with strong communication skills.
  • Own vehicle and/or availability to travel to the workplace.
  • Teamwork.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
