Qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree or Vocational Training in the field of technology, data, or related disciplines (other degrees will also be considered based on experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data projects, especially in data governance and/or analytics.
• Knowledge in the definition and implementation of data governance models: policies, processes, organizational model, and metrics.
• General knowledge in areas such as:
  • Data quality
  • Data security
  • Data modeling
• Experience or knowledge in metadata management: glossary, catalog, data dictionary.
• Good communication and analysis skills, with the ability to communicate with functional and technical profiles.
• Ability to work in a team, continuous learning, and self-initiative.
• C1 level of Catalan (essential).

Job Description

What challenge do we propose?

You will join a long-term project within a data governance office in the field of education, where strategies and plans related to data management and exploitation are defined.

You will participate in data governance initiatives, collaborating in the definition and implementation of policies, processes, and organizational models, as well as in the management and control of information within the education area.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to join a strategic project in the public sector in Barcelona. The selected person will be part of a complex and multidisciplinary IT environment, participating in the definition and implementation of the data governance model, acting as a link between functional areas and technical teams.

The objective of the role is to guarantee a homogeneous, controlled, and quality use of information, supporting the organization in the adoption of the data governance model.

Functions:

• Collaborate in the definition and implementation of the Data Governance model.
• Participate in the definition of roles and responsibilities regarding data.
• Support the development and implementation of data management policies, processes, and standards.
• Participate in the definition, maintenance, and evolution of the business term glossary.
• Collaborate in the identification of critical data for the organization.
• Define and document business rules and data quality requirements.
• Support functional areas in the adoption of the governance model.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and control dashboards for governance initiatives.
• Participate in end-to-end data governance initiatives, in coordination with various teams.
