About the role

Hello!

I'm Leyre, the recruiter for this position. I love writing and reading horror stories, but what I enjoy most is a good family meal with the people I love most. If you like seventies and eighties music as much as I do, we'll definitely hit it off!

Maybe this is the tenth job posting you've read today, whether you're on the couch with Netflix in the background or in the middle of a career change... and they all start to look the same.

Let me be clear: at Zurich, we're not perfect, but we're pretty awesome! And if you want to know why, keep reading.

First of all, THANK YOU for taking an interest in our company. We know that searching for new opportunities can be a challenge, but... don't worry, everything comes in time!

Let's get straight to the point! I'll try to sum up our DNA in 2 points:

And you might be wondering: Leyre, what will my day-to-day be like wearing the blue shirt? I love that you ask that question (I asked it myself back in the day):

You will be part of the Multinational team, supporting the management and coordination of international programs for corporate clients with a presence in different countries.

If you enjoy teamwork and want to learn how insurance management works for large companies internationally, this scholarship will give you very comprehensive, cross-functional experience.

By now, you're probably wondering, "Do I fit in here?"

Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements. We believe you could be a good fit if:

Interested? We can't wait to meet you, but first you need to know...

Right now, you're either feeling that excitement like when a pair of pants fits perfectly, or you're thinking, "this isn't for me" (and if it's not, no worries—we'll cross paths again in the future). You can play matchmaker and share my contact with anyone you think might be a good fit.

If you've made it this far, THANK YOU for reading. What did you think? Are we cool or not? If you felt butterflies in your stomach and think we're a match, send up smoke signals—or your CV, if smoke isn't your thing.

And to wrap things up, do you want to know what other people at Zurich think? I'd say we're still ranked at the top in Top Employers Spain as our calling card, but I encourage you to check out our Glassdoor profile so they can tell you themselves. No tricks, no gimmicks.

I hope to meet you very soon.

Leyre Romea

What you'll do

  • In your day-to-day, you will collaborate on monitoring international policies, managing documentation, and liaising with internal teams and international partners to ensure information flows correctly and efficiently.
  • You will also take part in data analysis and control tasks, reconciling premiums across different systems and helping identify and resolve potential discrepancies. This will allow you to develop a global view of the financial and operational processes of multinational programs.
  • In addition, you will work with corporate tools and databases, preparing reports, supporting continuous improvement projects, and collaborating with an international team in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

What we're looking for

  • We would love to meet you if you are studying Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, International Trade, or similar degrees.
  • It is also important that you are comfortable in international environments, have an intermediate-advanced level of English, and enjoy collaborating with people from different countries and cultures.
  • You must be able to sign a collaboration agreement with your University and/or Business School for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Nice to have

  • We will especially value your analytical skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn. If you enjoy working with data, organizing information, and resolving issues, you will feel comfortable on our team.
  • The most important thing is your attitude, curiosity, and desire to grow professionally in a global company.

What you'll get

  • It is a paid internship of €800.
  • Plus, you'll have access to training, and much more!

How you'll work

  • Part-time schedule (5h/day, Monday to Friday).
  • The position will be based in our Barcelona offices... although we'd like to mention that we have an 80% remote work policy!

About the company & team

  • We love volunteering, but we prefer to be activists for change. How? By focusing on young people at risk of social exclusion or fighting climate change through actions such as reforesting forests in Madrid and Doñana National Park. In 2024 we logged more than 20,000 hours of activism.
  • At Zurich, we say it loud and clear: we are proud of our colors and we believe a diverse team makes a difference. Here we don't talk about disability, we talk about ability. Being able to be yourself is our priority, with no closets standing between us and no glass ceilings. 50% of our management positions are held by women (including the Executive Committee). Did you know we produce our own podcasts about sexual identity? We are building a company where everyone is welcome.

Additional information

  • We never stop growing, and if this works out, we would love to have you on board!
