Reliability Engineer

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in defining, developing, and optimizing maintenance strategies, ensuring maximum equipment performance and the best possible efficiency from a total lifecycle cost perspective.

You will work in collaboration with the maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities, reduce risks, and increase asset availability and reliability.

Risk and priority management

• Identify long-term improvement opportunities to increase equipment reliability.
• Analyze asset criticality and prioritize risks with the greatest impact on safety, production, and costs.
• Study historical data and performance metrics to detect repetitive or high-cost failures.

Development of maintenance strategies

• Design and implement maintenance strategies aimed at maximizing equipment availability and performance.
• Prepare technical-economic analyses and cost-benefit studies to support proposed actions.

Monitoring and continuous improvement

• Monitor performance indicators and losses associated with critical assets.
• Drive preventive and improvement actions based on data.
• Measure and document the impact of implemented improvements, including cost savings where possible.
• Define reliability metrics and standards to evaluate equipment performance.

Failure analysis and problem solving

• Lead root cause investigations to eliminate recurring and critical failures.
• Develop sustainable solutions that improve reliability and reduce the recurrence of incidents.

Participation in investment projects

• Collaborate on the development of capital projects related to improving reliability, maintainability, and the integration of new equipment.
• Provide reliability technical criteria across the different design and implementation phases.

• University degree in Industrial Engineering or similar.
• At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in industrial process environments or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools, Oracle, and/or maintenance and reliability methodologies.
• Experience with international technical standards and regulations (UNE, ASME, API, among others) will be valued.
• High level of English.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different areas of the organization.
• Analytical, proactive profile focused on problem solving through root cause identification and the implementation of effective solutions.

Como Ingeniero/a de Fiabilidad, tendrás un papel clave en la definición, desarrollo y optimización de las estrategias de mantenimiento, asegurando el máximo rendimiento de los equipos y la mejor eficiencia posible desde la perspectiva del coste total del ciclo de vida.

Trabajarás en colaboración con los equipos de mantenimiento, operaciones e ingeniería para identificar oportunidades de mejora, reducir riesgos y aumentar la disponibilidad y fiabilidad de los activos.

Gestión de riesgos y prioridades

• Identificar oportunidades de mejora a largo plazo para incrementar la fiabilidad de los equipos.
• Analizar la criticidad de los activos y priorizar los riesgos con mayor impacto en la seguridad, la producción y los costes.
• Estudiar datos históricos y de rendimiento para detectar fallos repetitivos o de elevado coste.

Desarrollo de estrategias de mantenimiento

• Diseñar e implementar estrategias de mantenimiento orientadas a maximizar la disponibilidad y el rendimiento de los equipos.
• Elaborar análisis técnico-económicos y estudios de coste-beneficio que respalden las acciones propuestas.

Seguimiento y mejora continua

• Monitorizar indicadores de rendimiento y pérdidas asociadas a los activos críticos.
• Impulsar acciones preventivas y de mejora basadas en datos.
• Medir y documentar el impacto de las mejoras implementadas, incluyendo ahorros económicos cuando sea posible.
• Definir métricas y estándares de fiabilidad para evaluar el desempeño de los equipos.

Análisis de fallos y resolución de problemas

• Liderar investigaciones de causa raíz para eliminar fallos recurrentes y críticos.
• Desarrollar soluciones sostenibles que mejoren la confiabilidad y reduzcan la recurrencia de incidencias.

Participación en proyectos de inversión

• Colaborar en el desarrollo de proyectos de capital relacionados con la mejora de la fiabilidad, la mantenibilidad y la incorporación de nuevos equipos.
• Aportar criterios técnicos de fiabilidad en las distintas fases de diseño e implantación.

• Titulación universitaria en Ingeniería Industrial o similar.
• Experiencia profesional de al menos 2 años, preferiblemente en entornos industriales de proceso o industria pesada.
• Conocimientos de herramientas GMAO, Oracle y/o metodologías de mantenimiento y fiabilidad.
• Se valorará experiencia en normativa y estándares técnicos internacionales (UNE, ASME, API, entre otros).
• Nivel alto de inglés.
• Capacidad para trabajar en equipo y comunicarse de forma efectiva con diferentes áreas de la organización.
• Perfil analítico, proactivo y orientado a la resolución de problemas mediante la identificación de causas raíz y la implantación de soluciones eficaces.
